Ropework seen on recent visit to Egypt. I thought the bamboo strip, if that is what it was, looked like a three leg turkshead to start with, but it is only a lashing. Must have been a bit hard on the fingers! It is all only ornamental. I suppose it could always have been the work of an extremely bored holiday maker!
